Find decision-makers

Select decision-makers based on their location and job title — find people working in target companies along with their contact information, on the Select decision-makers screen:

Click path: Personas -> create a new persona

Field Description Example
Job titles of decision-makers Look for decision-makers with any of these titles. One per line. CEO, managing director
Person location Where the decision-maker must be located. Anywhere (default), Include only selected, Exclude selected
Max decision-makers per company Limit the number of decision-makers identified for each company. 3

If more decision-makers are identified, they are prioritized in the order specified in the ‘titles’ field, and those with valid email addresses come first.

Getting started

  • Go to Personas and create a new one.
  • Write job titles you are interested in talking to, e.g. CEO
  • Optionally, select countries they must be located.

Want to permanently exclude a company or person instead? See Do-Not-Contact list.

Recent changes

  • 2026-04-16Accurate signal status badges – the Signals page now correctly distinguishes between companies where decision-makers were actually found vs. companies that only passed qualification filters. Previously, all qualified companies showed “Leads found” even when no decision-makers existed. Now:

  • 2026-04-16“Available on paid plans” on sample pages – sample lead pages and CSV downloads now show “available on paid plans” instead of blank fields for decision-maker data (name, title, LinkedIn, email). This encourages trial users to upgrade for full lead details.

  • 2026-04-16Company website always in exports – CSV exports now always include the company website and domain, even when no decision-makers were found. Companies from sources that don’t provide website data are automatically enriched in the background via LinkedIn lookup. While enrichment is in progress, the signal detail page shows an “Enriching…” badge on the Website and LinkedIn URL fields. Use case: you see an interesting signal and want to dig into the company before finding the right people.

  • 2026-03-17Automatic retry for failed personations – companies that initially returned “no leads found” (e.g., because their LinkedIn profile wasn’t resolved yet) are now automatically re-checked. When enrichment data improves, tasks are reset and decision-maker search runs again — no manual intervention needed.

  • 2026-01-18 — Telephone numbers for qualified decision-makers are now provided as an add-on

  • 2024-11-26 — Bugfix: personator produced no results if both Person location and Max decision-makers per company are specified

  • 2024-11-26 — Showing pagination instead of a date filter in matches lists in Filters, Personas, and Lead lists

  • 2024-05-20 — Limit the number of decision-makers per company. If more decision-makers are identified, they are prioritized in the order specified in the ‘titles’ field, and those with valid email addresses come first.

  • 2024-05-18 — Fixed: Opening a filter and a persona took significant time.

  • 2024-05-12 — Accepting registrations with personal emails, but asking for company info and limiting free runs in this case

  • 2024-05-10 — Searches, filters, personas and leadlists can be cloned

  • 2024-05-07 — Fixed: personas pulling disqualified matches

  • 2024-05-03 — Fixed: showing people counts in persona list

  • 2024-05-01 — Save / save and re-run buttons in filters and personas

  • 2024-05-01 — People can be filtered by location

  • 2024-04-26 — “Data sources” renamed to “Searches”, “Filters” and “Personas” to avoid confusion

  • 2024-04-22 — Searches, Filters, and Personas are separated into different tabs and steps, so instead of having to wait until the whole search & processing will end, you can see intermediate results much faster.

  • 2024-04-16 — You can now choose if you still want to filter out companies without identified decision-makers, using “Minimum number of identified decision-makers” and “Minimum number of valid emails per match” fields.

  • 2024-02-04 — “Personas” form is accepting comma-delimited values, not only newline-delimited (foolproofing)
